This is how to do the bullion knot stitch rose.

You may need to change a milliner's needle (straw needle).

step 1 - 2 bullion knot sittches(5 loops)

step 2 - 3 bullion knot sittches(10 loops)

step 3 - 4 bullion knot sittches (12 loops)

step 4 - adjusting the number of stitches (15 loops)

Bring your needle up through the fabric.

Insert the needle slightly away from the starting point.

Then, come up the needle tip out through the first hole again.

Wrap the thread around the needle.

Hold the wrapped thread with your left hand

and pull the needle out with your right hand.

Insert the needle into the fabric at the very end of the knot.

You can change the stitch length

by adjusting the number of wraps around the needle.
